So, I get back from driving from LV and back; well surprise, surprise, my car is filthy. I was about to wash it (ok, pay somebody else to wash it) when I noticed that a molding from the fire hydrant incident had come lose. Took it back to the body shop and they said that they wont get the part till Monday and that I should not wash the car till then as it is not as water tight as it should be.
So, if you see my car in the next week or so, for once in my life the filthiness of my car is not my fault.
Santa Cruz county had three major wildfires so far this summer, and the Basin Complex fire is sometimes visible from my house.
ReplyDeleteAsh has been raining from the sky a few times a week for a good month now. Each time I wash my car, I get a new coat.
Is it a lesson in zen-like determination or simple futility?
