Last Big Training Push

20.91 mi

10.2 mph

Marin is a BITCH!!! Surprisingly my arms were the limiting factor.
And one thing I did not think about is that, while most of the hill is in the shade, but the last 2 blks are in full sun.

El TOyonal is also a very nice climb and shade most of the way, but for the last bit. Sigh.
It also sucks to get lost on a bike while climbing a hill. :(

Anyway my test is in one week, so I will be doing slightly more interesting things than exersizing. Maby.

  2. Dude, that's macho to the point of pointless if you ask me. The map is unclear: did you take it to spruce or all the way to grizzly peak?

I've never tried biking up Marin. I don't think I ever want to try biking up Marin, not because of the hills but because of the heavier traffic and the lack of bike lane.

On the tail of this particular ride, though, try taking Moraga way all the way to the end, and then climbing up Pinehurst to get to Skyline and then to Grizzly Peak. That's a fun ride!!

  3. Marin the whole way up. I tend to take Spruce down the hill, cuz I am a terrible descender. The traffic up Marin is not a problem as the street is wide as hell, and is pritty light and slow anyway.

Skyline to Grizzly Peak is how I came home from work on Friday it is nice, and yeah, everybody and there brother keeps telling me to do Pinehurst, it's on my list. But I am not riding for at least 2 weeks.
