Preparedness

When I was small I used to play a bit of chess. I was only in one tournament and I had to pull out of that cuz my mom had threatened dire consequences if I came home late. The funny thing was that she punished me for pulling out of the tournament. But I digress.
I was in the 4th grade at the time, and still trying to figure out the world (ok, I am still trying to figure it out, but that's not the point). Anyway, if you would just let me tell the story. I noticed that the person who set up there pieces faster usually won the game.
My father would almost always get his pieces out before me.
My fellow students would rarely get out first.
And believe it or not, I once almost got my pieces out as fast as Master Elisabeth Shaunesy.

Sometimes I think I was smarter then than I am now.

P.S. I am starting to think I just did something big, and now I can't sleep.
